WE RECEIVED THE BELOW EMAIL FROM PARKS AND REC REGARDING THE SNOW FENCING

The temporary snow fence at the dog park is in place to protect the new seed
and leveled dirt from foot traffic.  In order for the seed to take and the
grass to come in successfully we need our dog park members and more importantly
their dogs to keep off those areas.  We have repaired snow fence that was
cut away by dog park members.  We are asking members to please police
themselves and others to keep people of the enclosed areas.  There has been
a tremendous amount of work done to improve the quality of the park and to
address the issues of the dirt and water.  In order to get the end result
we requested we need to deal with the temporary closure of portions of the
park.  Unfortunately with the park being open all year around it is
necessary to close portions to do any kind of extensive maintenance.  We
apologize for the inconvenience for our members and we will take the fence down
as soon as we determine the ground is ready for foot traffic and paw
traffic.  Please let our members know that it will be up at least to
mid-spring.
I looked at the location regarding the shelter.  The problem all the
area in front and on the sides of the shelter is new seed and grass also.
Opening the fence up to the shelter will certainly damage the new area in front
that is not ready for traffic.  It is for this reason that we need to keep
that closed off.  I know that was your only request but after taking a
second look at it I know why I had them block it off in the first place.

Thanks again,
